A BLUE TIDE: CHANNELING THE POWER OF WOMEN

The Challenge:  Swim 21 miles from Dover, UK to Cape de Gris Nez, France in August 2018

As a lifelong competitive distance swimmer and international policy advisor, I am combining my two vocations into a challenge: To swim across the English Channel.

As a woman, I am inspired by Gertrude Ederle, the first woman to cross the Channel in 1927, and the historic swims of Lynne Cox, and Anne Cleveland.  I’m ready to jump in and join the women who’ve made waves.

As I train for the Big Swim, I will support other women swimming against the current and embracing their own challenges.  My swim will raise money to support Democratic and pro-choice women running in the 2018 U.S. midterm elections.

Join me to channel the power of women:  swim, vote, and run.

ABOUT THE BLOG

I am 28-year old San Diego native, Wellesley and Georgetown graduate, who has spent the past 6 years working in the District of Columbia at the nexus of business and government. This summer I am pursuing my life-long dream to attempt to swim the English Channel.  The 21-mile crossing from Dover, UK to Cape de Gris Nez, France is seen as the premier open water swimming challenge.

BE PART OF THE BLUE TIDE

By donating to Emily's List, you can help elect Democratic pro-choice women to the U.S. Congress, Governorships, as well as other State and Local Races around the country.

Since the English Channel is 21 miles, my goal is to raise one thousand dollars per mile --$21,000 for Emily's List.

I would greatly appreciate your support.  You can make waves by clicking here
